Soprano’s Pipistrelle was recently described so data on distribution, migrations and ecology were incomplete. It is sympatric with Common Pipistrelle but prefers open waterbodies and hunts above bank vegetation, travelling on average 1.7 km from roosts. Maternity and hibernation colonies were recorded in buildings, hollow trees and bat houses. Migration potential of this species is still unknown but is believed to be low as the only two known recovery records in Germany were 4 km and 6 km from ringing sites. Only one female was ringed in Belgrade in 2014, with no recovery data.sr
