Abstract:
Damages of snow on trees in forests of the National park 'Fruška gora' after NATO aggression. In the National park 'Fruška gora' NATO aggression lasted in continuity from April, 4th to the June, 8th, 1999. On this region were dropped 300-500 explosive bombs and 2 containers with cluster bombs. In the surrounding of centers of localities, the mostly severe attacked by bombs (Iriški venac, Elektrovojvodina, Bukovac /Selište/, Kraljeve stolice, Dubočaš and Crveni čot), have occurred in November 1999. and in March 2000. due to great quantities of snow, subsequent damages in form of mass uprooted trees. On the base of inventory as well measurement of trees, it was found out that the damages of snow amount 3072 m3. Predominantly have suffered forests of beech and linden (Tilio-Fagetum submontanum /M. Jank. et V. Mišić 1960/ V. Miš. 1972) in deep ravines. Within investigated stands, the most of trees damaged by snow were found out at beech, then hornbeam, silver linden and sessile oak. .
