Savi’s Pipistrelle used to be characteristic for Mediterranean areas with karst and scrub, but today it is spreading quickly across
Europe and now often hunts around street lights in urban areas. Roosts for both maternity and hibernation colonies are situated in rock
crevices or buildings. Ringing data are poorly known at European level. In Serbia there were 11 individuals ringed since 1996, with no
recovery records.
