Serotine Bat is widely distributed in Palearctic, in open and semi-open habitats, farmland and urban areas. In Central Europe
both hibernation and maternity colonies are situated almost exclusively in buildings, while in the Mediterranean they were also recorded
at cave entrances and rock crevices. This species is sedentary with movements of up to 40-50 km. Females may switch maternity colonies
during the summer season. There were 100 ringed bats since 1972, including three lactating females in Eastern Serbia, with 7 loco records
of 6 ringed individuals.
