Analiza fotosinteticke eflkasnosti vrsta Fagus silvatica L. i kulture Picea abies Karst. na staništu montane bukve na Maljenu

Abstract

The aim of this research was examination of vitality of beech Fagus sylvatica L. in the mountain beech forest habitat, as well as vitality of individuals of spruce Picea abies Karst. in silviculture of this coniferous species, raised in a habitat of mountain beech 35 years ago. Individuals of these species have been comparatively examined, by the light gradient, from the edges of the community towards its center, with a special attention to samples of the leaves orientated towards the south and the north. By analysis of the parameters of the induced chlorophyll fluorescence, there has been established a gradation of decrease in photosynthetic efficiency of individuals, going from the cenlrnl parts of the community towsrds its edges, as well as a decrease in photosynthetic efficiency of individuals in the leaves orientnted towards the south. In such a way, there has been established an obvious impact of changed microclimate (excessive light, high temperature and reduced humidity), particulary in the border zone between the two communities.
