These files contains data and code (R) used for preparation of the manuscript "Global drivers of the diversity and distribution of black flies (Diptera: Simuliidae) in the Balkan Peninsula". Data set 1 is organised as a single sheet table in .csv file format. Rows represents data for a single sampling location, while recorded species and variables for each locality are organised as columns. Data set 2 is organised as a single sheet table in .csv file format. Rows represents data for a single sampling location, while recorded species and variables for each locality are organised as columns with aditional variables for land use and bioclimatic variables. File Code R is a script for R software used for analyses in this study.
