<dc:subject>oxidative stress</dc:subject>
<dc:description>The research aims to show the influence of general (GA) and spinal anesthesia (SA) on the oxidative stress of parturient after cesarean section. Enzymatic antioxidant defenses include superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), glutathione reductase (GR), catalase (CAT), as well as glutathione S transferase (GST) and the concentrations of total and non-protein SH groups. Here are presented the analysis of changes in biomarkers of the oxidative stress over three measurements between groups: one hour before the start of the cesarean section (Measurement 1), at the moment of clamping the umbilical cord (Measurement 2) and two hours after the end of the cesarean section (Measurement 3).</dc:description>
