dc.description.abstract | Bechstein’s Bat lives in old deciduous forests with a high percentage of mature trees, as it roosts in crevices and hollows, rarely in artificial bat houses. It is believed that most hibernation roosts are also in trees. This species often changes roosts within a small local area. In Serbia it has been ringed since 1956, with 70 ringed bats but no recovery records. Males represented 65-70% of bats ringed at individual sites. | sr |
